2025 Poppy Campaign Results

Congratulations, again we have completed our successful Poppy Campaign in South Stormont Township.

With a shortened campaign this year our goal was $12,000.00 and through the generosity of the residents, local businesses and our dedicated volunteer canvassers, including significant participation from the local cadet organizations, we received $13,398.35 – well done! A more detailed financial summary will follow at year end.

We would also like to thank and acknowledge the township of South Stormont, the local schools, area service clubs, and other organizations for their generous donations every year.

A special thank you goes out to those who worked behind the scenes preparing and delivering the poppy boxes you saw in local businesses, organizing the volunteer canvassers, counting donations and all the administration that goes with executing a successful campaign. Without these folks this would not happen.

As your Poppy Fund Chair for the past 8 years, I am continually amazed by the giving spirit in our community and the respect the community shows for the Poppy Fund and the remembrance it represents.

I would also like to mention that our Royal Canadian Legion, Annual Poster Contest in local schools is well under way so stay tuned for these results.

Thank You Again,
